GREAT NIGHT HAD BY ALL
The first function of the new season kicked off in style last Friday night, when almost 200 people attended the Pre Season Party at The Park Inn Heathrow.
The Bees Management team of Terry Butcher and Andy Scott, and their wives, were there, together with representatives from the Board, staff and all of the various supporters groups and fund raising initiatives, to witness the evening's entertainment which included a close up magician, a brilliant young comedian who's appeared at Jongleurs and The Comedy Store - Phil Butler and the Winner and runner up in Brentford Idol 2007, Cara Johnson and Kayleigh Billins.
Terry also took part in a Question and Answer Session before it was time to "get on down" to the Dance floor.
There were nine auction items up for grabs during the evening with the highest bid of the night, over £800 for a Training and VIP Day Package with Terry Butcher raising more than two individual David Beckham signed items. Of even more interest was that the bidder was former Bees Manager Wally Downes who subsequently re-auctioned it, which realised a further £1,000.
In total the Event raised over £9,000.
The Club's next Event is on Wednesday with the Pre Season Golf Day at Strawberry Hill Golf Club.
